PocasNuckie Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Hello fellow Eurobricks members, long time no see, hope all is well. I come to you to present you my latest MOSAIC construction. This one has a nice story behind it that I will try to resume as best as I can so it doesnt get to boring. Most of you probably dont care about football and even if you do you care about it in your country and not mine. But my club Benfica from Portugal was in January 7 points behind the League leader and totally exhausted with the coach we had. Everyone was giving up for the year. Our president switched coaches and brought to the main team our B team manager , this not very experienced man called Bruno Lage. Bruno had extensive knowledge of our young players from whom we capitalized the most of their capabilities and established great connection with the supporters. End of story we recovered the point difference and won the title 2 points ahead of our rival that if you remember was 7 ahead of us before. Somewhere in March while the hype was still low I said to myself if this man gives us the title we got to do him a nice tribute to thank him and during the following months i chatted with fellow supports to know if they were interested in covering the costs of materials because unfortunately this doesnt come cheap. I made a few renders, let the people vote the final design, made a crowdfund and raised the needed sum and built this. You can see next a comparison between the original photo, the render provided by Pic To Brick and the final construction. I could have sticked to the 4 color scheme, but I thought adding some red was a nice touch and those shadowsi in Dark Red came our really well. You can now see a photo of the construction alone. It's a 96x128 studs sized Mosaic. I could have done it bigger but it wasnt needed. Looks awesome this way and I didnt want to push it since I was asking money for it. Now I just need to frame it and contact the proper people to create an opportunity to give it to the man himself. Hope you all like it Ā Quote
Vindicare Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Great job capturing his likeness. Iām always amazed by the finer details people are able to get. Good luck getting it to him! Quote
