Squeaker Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I made it from a nail and a washer... I might be willing to sell it, if anyone is interested. Quote
JimBee Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 woah, thats really creative! im not a castle fan, but ill be sure to get a lot of swords with the new indy jungle duel set! Quote
BlueBard Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Wow, real hard work here. But the final result is impressive Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Wow thats awesome. But how are the nail and the washer connected together? Quote
Squeaker Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Well my father and I own metalworking equipment (forge, swage block, and anvil, etc.), and the process basically went like this: -Flatten nail on anvil -Grind of exess with grinder -slide on washer -hammer washer flat again on anvil -shape to the desired look -wrap handle with thread and paint on adhesive But to answer your question simply, it is held on with friction. You know, I could make a custom for someone if they want a certain shape (ie scimitar) if it is not too intricate and they suply an image. Quote
iamded Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 That's one sweet sword! I love the handle detail, and the fact that it's made of Lego! But those are some massive pics. ~Peace Quote
Squeaker Posted May 7, 2008 Author Posted May 7, 2008 Err... It's not made of LEGO it's made of metal Quote
