I originally built this for the impulse contest, but I never got myself off my lazy megablocks in time to post it for the contest. With castle month, I felt now was the appropriate time to post this creation of mine.

Standard view

And now we have non-funny a comic, to illustrate play features of my MOC

Our Crownie friend has become infuriated over forgetting to load up the Micropult.

img_0814.jpg

He grabs the hammer off of the side.

img_0822.jpg

Starts to chisel the side of the rock, and....

img_0837.jpg

breaks it!

img_0839.jpg

He eagerly dives in for a sample.

img_0856.jpg

He grabs the burning hot rock without disintegrating his hand

img_0857.jpg

loads up after putting the hammer away

img_0863.jpg

takes aim and...

img_0883.jpg

Fires! (the handle is connected to the Technic Pole Reverser Handle by a technic pin. So when you turn the handle, the Micropult fires)

img_0894.jpg

After the battle...

Our Crownie friend detaches the basket....

img_0895.jpg

walks to the storage area...

img_0902.jpg

puts it away and prepares the wagon...

img_0904.jpg

and marches to the next battle.

Parts

The model has 27 parts for those who are curious, I plan to post instructions if there is a significant demand for them.

I don't know how you expect us to see these pictures, they are huge! And a little blurry. I get the general idea of it, but can't really see much of the detail because of the size (or perhaps I can just see too much  )

As a word of advice, find out how to resize. There is a tutorial somewhere I think... :look:

EDIT: Ah yes, and now the automatic resizer comes in, thanks to whoever thought of that! I like it, very nice contraption, the comic explains the soldiers frustration very nicely. Good job!

Thank goodness for the automatic re-sizer! That's quite a nifty contraption there, very cool. I was wondering how on Earth it would fire that massive boulder, but I see you've got something a lot more practical. Nice!

Don't be sorry just take a look at the tutorial on resizing large pics, here.

On another note I like the idea of a one man catapault thats also easily portable. Also I really like the comic showing all the functions of the micro-catapault.

Overall a very origianal and well executed idea  , the only forseeable downfall is that I don't have 2 of the wheel pieces you used. :hmpf_bad:

EDIT: After reading the sentence about the pics more carefully, I saw that you said you can't resize the pics. May I ask whay? :classic:

How is this ironic?

It's ironic because it's a micropult, a mini catapult, yet the pictures are incredibly large.

Oh my lord, talk about irony... :hmpf:

Seriously, do you ever have something positive to say? Plus, you're not really one to complain, I recall you posting the most blurred, fuzzy pictures I've ever seen.

That said, it isn't that hard to switch you're camera function to a better format (640x480) and set the resolution lower

Now that the pics have loaded you have a cool functioning catapult there. I'd ask you for instructions, but I'm scared how big they'll turn out

Good luck getting better pics too.

Batbrick Away!

I dont know about Brickshelf, but photobucket (free)has an edit tool which lets you resize the pictures and save. Might be the way to go, or screw down the size on the camera, then we can appreciate your designs! :classic:
