It uses the normal LDraw library but it needs additional information for the snapping / mechanics to work so that is a couple of years behind now.

OTOH the connectivity files were using a documented file format, so it's still possible to add that.

The other problem when using new parts is that the parts thumbnails must be generated. SR3Dbuilder was supposed to be able to create them, but I was never able to use that possibility (crash). Instead I used image created with LDView.

...but I haven't used it for years since LDCad does most(*) of the job much more reliably.

(*): I still regret the automatic mechanical simulator of SR3D, even though it was quite buggy...
