Nebulaire Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 I built a small repair shop in Lego technic. I'm using Sheepo lift, and 42096 & 42077 models, with small modifications on them. I presented it to a lego exhibition in France in April. I had quite a success. This is pushing me to improve the shop during 2019 with a dyno, a car wash and maybe a new lift. All comments are welcome, I want to improve my little repair shop, To be continued, Quote
suffocation Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Absolutely love this It's packed with plenty of clever, creative details. Looking forward to seeing more. Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 , very innovative and well executed. I look forward to the expansion. Quote
Nebulaire Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 (edited) Thank you for you support. I'm working on the dyno : The black strings are not there for decoration, they hold the car on the dyno for real. I built it in a very simple way with two L-motors to rotate the wheels of the 42077 (which is now entire blue). I need to add some decoration to this part of the garage with some fans, a screen and a desk. I also have to put some evacuation for the exhaust. Mechbuilds Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 It would be awesome if the dyno was more modular. So it could move a little bit forward and backward so it could fit different types of cars on it. The width can be modified by just having fat rollers. Quote
Thirdwigg Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 42077 looks great in all dark azure. The dyno looks pretty great too. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Very nice garage and original idea! I like the full azure livery of the dyno Quote
jrx Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 That's a pretty cool MOC! But what's really missing is a coffee corner. Can't imagine a car repair shop without proper coffee maker and cups ;) Quote
Kio Liex Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Looks great. You should also make a brake test area. I am also missing posters. Lastly I think you should remake the tyre changer machine so it can be mounted on the side also, like the real, this looks to be a easy change. Quote

For now, i built version number one to have an easy start, but I'm already thinking to version number 2 which will be modular. Here were I am for now : I'm building the fans area right now. I was thinking to a V8 table with 42056 et 42083 seats. I've already started to built some furnitures : I have ordered some 48x48 base plate to Lego with the bulk, but my order won't arrive until december and I miss parts to move on the build. I also want to get rid of sheepo's lift to built my own scissor lift : Quote

Nebulaire Posted May 31, 2019 Author Posted May 31, 2019 Thanks. I was also thinking to add a small furniture to diplay some thing such as a trophey, some automotive goodies and why not adding a bit of star wars things such as the head of dark vador in the 75111 set. Quote
Nebulaire Posted June 7, 2019 Author Posted June 7, 2019 I spent some time working on the coffee corner : I've made a table, two chairs with GT3RS seats, and I began the table : Also, some Star Wars heads on display : Quote
Nebulaire Posted March 18, 2020 Author Posted March 18, 2020 (edited) The repair shop is finished, here are the pictures : Feel free to comment ! Edited March 18, 2020 by Nebulaire Quote
agrof Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 The whole build just feels so good! And that full azure 42077 is absolutely THE love! Quote
Vectormatic Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 im absolutely loving the siccor lift and dyno, very cool! If you have some pneumatic stuff you could also build a compressed air system, a motor powered compressor with air tanks, some lines and perhaps pneumatic power for the siccor lift would be really cool as play features. Aleh Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 (edited) Wow! So cool! You can udgrade it endless!! Try to add some vehicle with hook for engine removal/installation. And it's not good you shoot it during some kind of a lunch because we can't observe any technic team members. Do they have a rest at that time? Oh, my bad. The latest picture is the key to my question :) Edited March 18, 2020 by Aleh Quote
suffocation Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Loved it before, head-over-heels in love with it now Quote
