This started life as an attempt to build a faithful Diesel British Rail Class 04 Shunter but slowly morphed into something more INSPIRED by it.

There's room in the cab for a m motor mounted vertically and the back two wheels are geared for a single axle drive. Two of the back wheels are also floated horizontally to help with going around curves and to minimize derailing.

Thoughts welcome!

I for one will look forward to them...  This is a brilliant looking loco (even it it's not prototypical it looks as though it could be)

The shape isn’t too far away from the Class 04 but I can see that the length and wheel arrangement is a bit off to be a faithful replica. I don’t think you’d need to make too many changes to bring it closer to your inspiration if you wanted to.

All that said, she’s a handsome looking devil and would make a good shunter/trip loco on any layout.
