charlesp1138 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 This started life as an attempt to build a faithful Diesel British Rail Class 04 Shunter but slowly morphed into something more INSPIRED by it. There's room in the cab for a m motor mounted vertically and the back two wheels are geared for a single axle drive. Two of the back wheels are also floated horizontally to help with going around curves and to minimize derailing. Thoughts welcome! Quote
legobanker Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Nice build. Is this 6 or 8 wide? Any plans on offering the instructions? Quote
charlesp1138 Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 Thanks. It's six wide. Should be putting together instructions soon. Quote

Hod Carrier Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 The shape isn’t too far away from the Class 04 but I can see that the length and wheel arrangement is a bit off to be a faithful replica. I don’t think you’d need to make too many changes to bring it closer to your inspiration if you wanted to. All that said, she’s a handsome looking devil and would make a good shunter/trip loco on any layout. Quote
