Modeltrainman Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Has anybody tried stuffing Mindstorms/BOOST in Ideas WALL-E? I've thought about trying, but wouldn't want to change him too much. Quote
Tcm0 Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 I think that you would have a very massive space problem because there is no space left for motors if you try to put the boost hub or the ev3 into it. But there are bigger wall e builds with the ev3 (and maybe boost) and I think that there is a power functions version of the ideas wall e. Quote
Great Ball Pit Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Maybe this would be possible with the smaller wedo/batman/train hub. Quote
Coder Shah Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 As mentioned by others, the EV3 or Boost bricks are probably too big. However you can build a Wall-E (ish) robot using the parts in the 31313 set. https://www.lego.com/en-us/mindstorms/build-a-robot/kraz3 I'm pretty sure you can use the batman/train hub in place of the AAA battery box in the example shown below. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/437782 Quote
dr_spock Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 The hub and motors from the app controlled batmobile set would be pretty much the same size as the M-motors and AAA battery box in that Moc-pages MOD of Wall-E. Quote
Modeltrainman Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 (edited) @Coder ShahDid you do that? How cool! Edited April 1, 2019 by Modeltrainman Quote
