LegoDW Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Hello, looking for some help. I am new into collecting Star Wars theme Lego. Currently I have the newest Xwing and Tie Figher, love them both. Wanting to add to my collection, trying to stay with the classic 3 films (New Hope, Strikes Back, Return of Jedi). I have purchased the Vader transformation set, wanted a Vader figure. Would like to get some Storm Troopers, but appear TLG has made several versions of these guys. Would like mine to match or at least be close. What battle packs should I look for. Do you recommend getting a couple of the 75207 Imperial battle packs and 75197 First order specialist or just getting 4 of one set (wanting around 8 Storm Troopers). Do not care for the Clone Wars Trooper of set 75206 (although would like some Jedi's). Wish the were offering a battle pack with more Storm Troopers and less commanders and other officers. What are you all getting, looking for some advice before I get a bunch of stuff I don't like. I am planning on getting the new escape the death star set (1 trooper in that one), Yodas hut (no troopers), Hoth med center (no troopers). The discontinued Cantina set 75052 is really catching my eye. Probable going to get that one too (wish I got it when TLG was still making it, reseller markups are not my favorite). Quote
elementary Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Maybe the 75165? You got 2 troopers and 2 death troopers? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I'm not sure how you missed the Star Wars section of the forum. But I will move this over there. Quote
Little Brix Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Buy the new Imperial Drop ship set that is due to come out any time soon. It has 3 of the original stormtroopers and would be a good way to build up an army. Quote

Cause I have a short attention span....well that what my wife says. Sorry I missed the Star Wars section. I love it over there! On 3/15/2019 at 4:38 PM, elementary said: Maybe the 75165? Cylo Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Try 75165, but that set is very overpriced now, or maybe wait for the new imperial dropship, which is also a tad bit more expensive but you get 3 stormtroopers and a shadow trooper. Quote
Cyberfounder Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Also, Bricklink. Stormtroopers used to be overpriced, but recently the prices have been going down. I got 20 for around €4 per figure. Quote
lego eggo Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 i would say the best battle pack for collecting stormtroopers with no officers is this battle pack. altough the stormtroopers i would say it is the best one to buy as it has 4 troopers and NO OFFICERS. the stet might be retired though, i'm not sure. It's been retired for about 3-4 years, unfortunately. They're also in the rebels style, which I personally don't mind but a lot of people dislike. If you haven't already found your troopers, I'd say bricklinking the troopers themselves would be the easiest way. They aren't that expensive, and you can make sure to only get the style you want.
