bramant Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Hi all! Long time reader here, but not an avid writer. I finished my house from the movie Up a while ago in Stud.io. Have to wait until summer to gather all the necessary parts to build it in real life. I'm planning (hoping) to have it finished for the Skærbæk Fan Weekend in September. In the meantime I would like to hear your (if necessary unvarnished :-)) opinions and suggestions to improve this. Your constructive critisism is welcome! adwind Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 I think that you have created the most beautiful house from "Up!" so far. This is true. My opinion is that in order to get more votes and hipe - you should add a story. I mean this movie is all about EMOTIONS and in your project - they are simply absent. I'm just telling that adding interior, minifigs and some scenes from the movie would take your awesome design to another level! :) And yes, I am your supporter and would definitely buy it! Good luck! :) Quote

Good luck! :) Thanks for your advice! I think you hit the nail right on the head. I kind of lost myself in the exterior look so much that the scale felt less relevant. So it is a bit too big for minifig scale. I did make a Carl that could fit the scale. I could try to add him sitting on the porch. If it doesn't work out, I might have to start the daunting task of resizing it to minifig scale. BTW, I already tried to add the balloons, but because of part count issues, I'm afraid that's not going to work out :-). Oh, and I'm also a supporter of your Home Alone house! Looks awesome! ukbajadave Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 The "sun and moon" tools on the brick built weather vane are very creative part usage. If this made it through ideas it would be a brilliant part pack, all those lovely tiles! Quote
