knotian Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I'd like to know if there are any curved slope pieces that can be connected and form a smooth circle, which could be laid on it's side. Part 44126 should give you an idea, but that does not connect into a curve, just a scalloped line . I want build some large tanks -- think water or fuel tanks in an industry. I have been building my furnaces, ovens, etc (for a blast furnace) using alternating 1x2 and 1x1 round. That's ok because they are masonry construction. These tanks will be much bigger., say 12-15" diameter, and 6-12" tall. Thanx Quote
NathanR Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Not sure if these circles go big enough, but you might find some useful techniques here: http://mocrecipes.com/2015/10/23/polygon-circles/ Quote
JGW3000 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Take a look at the recent Apollo rocket, may give you some ideas, especially the first stage. Quote
knotian Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 JGW3000 Thanks for the info, that uses the 1/4 cylinders which is quite too small. NathanR Thanks, nice techniques. Ed Quote
