Moon_Knight Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Hi, I want some advice. I've been trying to get a hold of the discontinued LEGO set Poe's X-Wing Fighter - 75102 and I've found a set I can purchase on Bricklink for $58.73 (not including shipping fees) or a locally used set for $40 (I can go pick it up). The only problem that I've seen with the $40 set is that it's collected dust, not sure if the stickers are positioned the way I'd want them on the set, etc.. What do you think I should do? Quote
Johnny1360 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I can only speak for myself but I would get the new one in the box. Having said that though dust really isn't an issue, LEGO cleans up easily enough however there may also be missing pieces and if sticker placement is important sometimes they can be repositioned with minimal effort or damage. However I still say get the new one. Quote
deraven Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Sticker placement is probably the biggest concern here, so I think it comes down to how much money is a factor. If you take a chance on the used set and aren't happy, I imagine you can get a set of the stickers on Bricklink for less than the $20 difference in cost and re-apply them to your liking. If that difference in cost isn't something you're worried about, I would also go with the brand new set and enjoy the fresh-out-of-the-box building experience. Quote
Moon_Knight Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 Awesome. The stickers are a big concern to me as is possible sun damage to the pieces, so I'll stick with Bricklink. Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the help. Quote
