LEGO Star Wars has been magnificent, but some sets have been beaten on, or were never even heard of by some fans. Some people don't even remember entire THEMES or break-offs from Star Wars ever being created. Episode III only had one big year, this year is Episode 2. Most people remember, but few heard of:

Wookiee Attack

Ultimate Lightsaber Duel

and from other times...

Naboo Speeder

Gungan Patrol

Boba Fett's Slave I (Original)

Cloud City

AT-ST 2001

These are just off the top of my head. I got the Wookiee Attack, Naboo Speeder and Gungan Patrol, as well as the Slave I, and I loved all four- especially Wookiee Attack! This is meant to recognize the sets that didn't do so well in the past few years. List as many as you can think of.

I would say the first slave one, at the time... was awsume... subsequently, Jango's and the Re-release only made it look pathetic by comparison, though I don't complain about the later... A shame too, cause I always liked how the older Millennium Falcon looked already... yet now looking back, wish the first Slave One had been more acurate... And oh... to be so small that the Cloud Car could look scary to ya...

I got Gungan Patrol. I also got, er, Swamp Attack or something? It was great, for a cheap set you got a jedi (Qui Gon) and 2 Battle Droids with those hover shooty things. I'm not that good with names. A STAP I think. 2 of 'em. And a little swamp scene with a neat little clam too. Had lots of fun with that set. Oh, and it also came with (and we can't forget this) a Jar-Jar Binks. Yaaay!

A lot of these are just based on Lugnet or other reviews, like BtB. Lugnet gave Wookiee Attack around a 60, and I'll admit I was annoyed by all these "holier than thou" comments. "Poor kid who buys this..." and all this stuff that, when you see it, you feel bad and don't want to buy it anymore. That's what happened with the Rogue Shadow, if anyone can remember. The Gungan Patrol got mediocre too, and though the Slave I and Naboo Speeder got fairly good scores, the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel set bombed drastically. I was obsessed with the lightsaber duel at one time! I remember wanting it so badly, but then it got poor reviews and I lost interest immediately. I can't help it, and I'm sick of all of these "comments". Much as this forum is about the classic space and town, especially lugnet, they have no right to bombard the newer sets that are so different just out of "anger" about this big change. It's not my problem, they'll become MY "classics" anyways!

Got the Cloud City set and 2 of the first gen AT-STs and both are great sets! I like the old AT-ST even better then the new one (don't have one though).

I don't care too much about others opinion on a set when I consider buying it. It's rather a decision if I like the look of it (or of the minifigs that come with it) or not.

Ah, who else got the Luke+Ben Landspeeder? That's the most classic set of all I believe

Nothing wrong with the Wookiee Attack - you can't blame LEGO because the scene got cut. And I love the Naboo Speeder. The Ultimate Lightsaber Duel on the otherhand is a weak set.

I agree with Palim Jax, the first Slave I was great when it first came out but LEGO really raised the bar with the Jango Fett's Slave I.
