Unfinished_Projects Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Hello, I just scored a decent amount of old 12v track with a motor, but no controller/transformer. My question is what are my options for powering the track? Can I use a newer model railroad controller or should I just find an original? I'm looking for a relatively cheap option as I don't intent on purchasing any more 12v motors. Thanks in advance, Unfinished_Projects Quote
dr_spock Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 If you have 12V AC-DC wall warts (power adapters) kicking around, you can get a $2 motor controller board from China. I used one to control the speed of a Power Function M-motor running a ski lift MOC. I think that's as cheap as it gets. Quote
