knotian Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 If you have a second or two I'd like to get some comments on the start (draft of one small section) of an instruction set for a major build. My thoughts were to reduce the number of pages with the assumption that the builder would be experienced. Comments? Thanx ,https://www.dropbox.com/s/l97rzpwd9htiyug/traveller 2.pdf?dl=0 Ed Quote
syclone Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Imo these instructions are clear enough to understand, was able to follow the steps so far. Much better than TLG ones Quote

Much better than TLG ones Fully second that. Funny - in the good ol'days TLGs instructions were at least as condensed as that - without any assumption of "experience". Just look at instructions from +/- the 1980's. The instructions are perfect! Best Thorsten Quote
mocbuild101 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 I'd say they look good, they could be condensed slightly, but they're still okay. One thing that does need changing though, is step 7 - the assembly should be rotated around so you can see where the parts go. BTW, what software are you using to make the instructions? IMO the quality looks really bad... Quote
knotian Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Thanks for the reply's so far 'quality looks bad'......Can I have more info concerning this? I am using a low quality render while working to speed things up. Stud.io 2 Quote
