jwarner Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I really like the looks of this. I was afraid to build in black or gray thinking it might not be as visually appealing but for this particular model it works. Quote
shadow_elenter Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Ha! Nice to see it here Did I give you the idea? Quote
1gor Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Wow I never thought LEGO helicopter could end up so good, shape with panels is just perfect Quote

Yes. was thinking the same. but our swedish HKP4 is very dark so it fit very well. My idea to use some black parts was to get some kind of difference and just not a grey thick sausage looking thing :) Just now, shadow_elenter said: Ha! Nice to see it here Did I give you the idea? Might be so :P at least i can give it a try Just now, I_Igor said: Wow I never thought LEGO helicopter could end up so good, shape with panels is just perfect Thank you very much. its my second helicopter so cant say im that used to it :P Quote
mortil Posted December 29, 2018 Author Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) I dont have any pictures when building the top part but that was done first. then sitting for like a month And then i got some inspiration to continue . I was thinking of a gearbox at first, but as i was thinking of displaying it at an exhibition i wanted motors to controll the functions so i can do it with a IR controller. 1 minute ago, mortil said: Some WIP pictures played along with pieces i got at home. not all the colors i wanted. Its rarely i use system lego when i build but here it did a great add. Cockpit design tryout Torpedo build finished First try of the sinkbomb holder was okey. just needed to wait for the rest of the parts. The complete build started with the slaughter of my KA-50 Helicopter Edited December 29, 2018 by mortil WIP picture Quote
