[TC15] Sea Knight CH-46 (hkp4)

This is the Vertol107 or ch-46 sea knight in swedish army clothes fitted for submarine hunting

It is fitted with 3 sinkbombs, 1 wireguided torpedo, 1 sonar and 1 Radar mounted on the rear hatch

its all technic except the roof and a few pieces around the rear hatch.

I really like the looks of this. I was afraid to build in black or gray thinking it might not be as visually appealing but for this particular model it works.

Wow  I never thought LEGO helicopter could end up so good, shape with panels is just perfect

Yes. was thinking the same.  but our swedish HKP4 is very dark so it fit very well. 

My idea to use some black parts was to get some kind of difference and just not a grey thick sausage looking thing :)

its my second helicopter so cant say im that used to it :P

I dont have any pictures when building the top part but that was done first. then sitting for like a month 

And then i got some inspiration to continue . I was thinking of a gearbox at first, but as i was thinking of displaying it at an exhibition i wanted motors to controll the functions so i can do it with a IR controller.

Its rarely i use system lego when i build but here it did a great add.

Thanks.  i got a tip about this contest. never been in a contest before. 

if i had been more observant and seen the contest i should had made more of a build thread i think (im very bad at those things)

Functioning

This is so damn sweet.  had it at an exhibition this weekend.  and the airforce museum we where at have the only CH-46 that is allowed to fly in the nordic countries. 
they want to borrow my model for their upcoming HKP4 exhibition :)
