Dr. Brick Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Wow, that is so... chill! It really makes a lot of wind! What an interesting MOC. I like the little comic and the movie. Keep up the good work! Dr. Brick Quote
Plural Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 This is so cool (Cool! Do you get it? Oh never mind) It's always great to see people make practical things using technic. Good job. Quote
Blitz Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 Replying the posts: To Dr.Brick:Thanks for your supporting. To Plural: Yes it's very "cool" when i tested the result. And also i have made other practical things like a hamster wheel,a yoyo anda spinning top with a Beyblade(an anime)style.Check at my video list in Youtube. filefolders Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I made a Technic and System hybrid fan once but it was not motorized, it had a lot of gears and spun fast enough to throw pieces off. Quote
CP5670 Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Nice model, and equally nice presentation. What motor are you using there? I've tried to make such fans in the past, but they never turned out powerful enough to blow any significant amount of air. Although the last time I tried building such a fan was probably 10 years ago, when we only had the old, ungeared 9V motors that are much weaker than the various modern motors. Quote
Blitz Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Replying the posts: To filefolders:Wow ,your model sounds interesting, why not post it here to let us see? Also, when i tested the fan at the first time,it spins so fast that throws the yellow wind blades almost instantly,to strenthen the blades,i put some more technic pieces(sorry i don't know the specific name. But you can see it though the pictures) To CP5760:Thanks for your comments and i used the 8287 Motor Box as the motor. filefolders Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Yes, it's pretty neat. Thanks to gears, every time the crank is spun 360* the fan blades spin 125 times, I beleive. Quote
Blitz Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Yes, it's pretty neat. Thanks to gears, every time the crank is spun 360* the fan blades spin 125 times, I beleive. What an awesome fact! but does it really produce wind? Quote
