Hi again!

(No, this is not a contest entry :head_back:)

I have decided to actually base a model off of a real car that caught my eye in my neighborhood. Here is a photo:

The challenge: Four wheel drive, four wheel steering, four-speed automatic transmission (I will figure it out or make a dummy one) and the iconic body shape and windows. Another challenge is the insanely weird proportions of the car (very long and narrow).

Here is my progress so far:

Driveable and steered axle with suspension. Needs a little strengthening, but otherwise works great!

I will add updates soon!

Thanks! So far, I have improved the suspension structurally, built the basics fo the flat 6 engine, and started on a transmission concept. I think I misplaced my black 7L axle, would come in handy right now... :head_back:

Good thing is that it has flat 6 cylinder engine, so you can make it small scale. Bodywork is more suited to LEGO parts that Porsche, so it could be great MOC

This is a cool project.
How big wheels are you gonna use?

If you want, I could try to make some custom rims for this project.

Hey, that is nice! I haven’t been working on this too much lately besides finishing the chassis and interior, but once I get further along, I could probably use custom rims like these photos:

I know it will be a challenge, but it would be cool!

Heh, update time!

I have not posted updates for a while because i got 42082 and had other activities I was focusing on. I have decided to scrap the gearbox idea for this project and I have finished the chassis. I ran out of parts for the front axle and hopefully I will order them of BL soon. The 4-wheel steering and drive works fine and I have decided to only make the front two seats of the interior and leave the back empty to fit gears. More to come soon!
