SirNadroj Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 (Possible Spoilers) A vignette from "There Will Be Blood" ~ Daniel and Henry survey the land for the pipeline. This is more of a test with a different kind of tree (made with lots and lots of hinges. ) Also, credit for the tripod design: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=260081 Thanks! Quote
iamded Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Neat scene you've got there. That is one spiffy camera, full of detail, I really like it! That tree is certainly clever, I guess it resembles branches more than other techniques, but still, I don't know. I guess I'm just not used to seeing trees like that. *thumbup* ~Peace Quote

I'm debating right now whether to use this tree design or my other one (Troll Massacre) for my next, large Fabuland MOC. Quote
Batbrick Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Great work Sir Nadroj! I love the scene, very well done here, you certainly love TWBB! I love the tripod and scene setup, but am divided over the tree. I don't think I really like this kind of tree design, it looks good from this angle but bad from others, I reckon if you bulked it up a little around the branches it wouldn't look so spindly. That said, it looks great from the sideshot, I hope you prefect your design Batbrick Away! Quote
Corvus Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I guess I'm just not used to seeing trees like that. *thumbup*~Peace Hey, I'd like a tree like that here. It'd certainly be refreshing to see something other than: Pine tree...pine tree...juniper...pine tree. SN, where did you get the lens from? Looks like a custom. Quote
Batbrick Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 SN, where did you get the lens from? Looks like a custom. No, its an official Lego piece, I've got about eight yellow ones from my dismantled Dino Attack Tank. Batbrick Away! Quote
Asuka Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 A very interesting scenery with a cool tripod and a very fine tree. Your pictures´re pretty cool too. Quote
