Matn Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 (edited) I always wanted to built a nicer version of the Hogwarts Express then the one that TLC produced. So when I got the 10132 Hobby Train I could do this. This is the Hogwarts Express that will run in the future through my layout (if I don't adjust it and if I have the power to don't break it for about 6 months)... So, please, tell me what you think of it. I will update this post within a few days with longer versions of the passenger cars (I have the two Hogwarts Express sets, so I have two passenger cars). EDIT: NEW VERSION: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=313178 FOLDER UPDATED WITH PASSANGER CARS. Edited April 13, 2008 by Matn Quote
BlueBard Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Great job! I think you've really ameliorated the original model... Please, update more pics with the passenger cars! Quote
Wout Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Looks good! Only the driver looks a but too muggle, maybe a cape would look him more like a wizard. Quote
Matn Posted April 12, 2008 Author Posted April 12, 2008 (edited) Thanks. I haven't adjusted to much the passenger cars. I have made them one stud higher and there is an entrance between the two cars (like the real trains). They would be too high with the doors in comparision with the locomotive and I couldn't get it over my heart to break the passenger cars apart... Pics tommorow. Yeah, I have just took the usual driver. Tomorrow you'll see the real one. Edit: these are the passenger cars. They are made a stud higher, and the black parts are out. I have putted red parts in place. Edited April 13, 2008 by Matn Quote
MrCustomizer Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I like it, but what is different from the TLC's set? I can see the back wheels are modified, but are there any other changes? Quote

Tohst Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I like this. The shape is so much better than the official set. Maybe a 3/4 view from the front like you have from the back would better show off the changes you made. I can easily visualize little lego dementors descending upon this. -Tohst Quote
