I dont want to think negative but i am happy with this years wave and will be happy again when i have the next informations that are no speculations.. But i am also dreaming for a lot of more sets for the future.... We know 100% that there will be 5 new sets this year. Lego even said themselves more sets were coming. The list of Minifigures and descriptions is rumours and speculation

They always finish whatever they have designed, unless its something like Nexo Knights. That theme performed so poorly in its last year they didn't bother releasing the rest of the wave
RandomSniper109 Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 If the watchtower is meant to come with Madame maxine then maybe it comes with the beauxbaton carriage?

For the sake of the tower itself, I certainly hope not. I would much rather see a bigger grander tower.

Roebuck Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I think Harry Potter is the theme that is mentioned most times in this video! "Especially the second half was strong and we saw a lot of successes on the Harry Potter theme" I do not think we have to worry this theme goes away any time soon

When HP was around for the first time, we got a ton of Sets for Part 1-3 but hardly any for 4 and 7 and Basically none for 5 and 6. I want Dumbledores Army, the Order of the Phoenix, the Deatheaters and stuff like that. But boy do I agree, Myrtles bathroom would be one of my dream-sets as well. stupid dead sheep shoes, yes. Just a single castle set for OotP, easily the weakest of the old castle sets - The Burrow and a few weak side builds for HBP - absolutely nothing for DH1, and only 2 smaller sets for DH2. The number of significant characters that were introduced from GoF onwards that never got made into minifigures is also distressing, but Lego has already been working on that by giving us Cho, Cedric and Slughorn, so hopefully they’ll remedy the holes in set representation too. It’s not like the later movies don’t have great material for sets. I’ve got a pretty extensive list of theories.

Well yes, there are some scenes that just don’t translate into Lego - either because of the gruesome subject matter (the scene from DH1 where Nagini eats Charity Burbage) or they take place inside of a magical space that has an interior but no exterior (Ministry of Magic) or both (Horocrux chamber from HBP). Luckily there are plenty of alternatives.

Legoniche Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I feel like I’m the only person who wouldn’t mind a set with just loads of really tall trees, the forbidden forest- I know it’ll never happen, but that’d be lit

LDDproductions Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I’m pretty sure we’ll see sets in Winger 2020. That would mean more sets per year, getting through all the movies quicker, and going back to things they’ve missed. It would be great as long as quality is not sacrificed for speed.
Whovastron Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I did think that too, but I’m not so sure now, maybe it’s just 1 wave a year to spread things out?

Unfortunately many judge the set harshly cause they haven't seen it in person. The main castle is may not be as movie accurate (if at all) but sure beats the 2010 hogwarts castle imo as the later loses the charm of the older seen in harry potter sets. 5378 is a castle that shows the lego group can make a decent castle that isn't too accurate to the screen. We also got the best snape in that set and a cool death eater.

We also got the best snape in that set and a cool death eater. The greenhouse was the only really nice part of the set. The only room in the main castle that’s properly recognizable is Umbridge’s office, and the fact that the designers really didn’t put much thought into the other rooms shows. It’s a decent castle set, but compared to the other large Hogwarts sets it’s not nearly as creative architecturally, and doesn’t have the nearly same number of recognizable rooms or playable hidden features as the other castles. (Say what you will about the 2010 set, it might have sacrificed internal space so the exterior looked good, but all the rooms are still instantly recognizable). I own all the old castle sets, I’ve got them displayed lined right up next to each other. I’m not saying it’s a horrible set, I’m just saying it isn’t as strong - which is particularly annoying considering it was the only OotP set released, and should have had the designers’ full focus. In any case, my original point that OotP has plenty of great scenes and characters that need to be given proper treatment this time around still stands.
LDDproductions Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 I think the list of figures we have may not be entirely complete. I’m not saying this is factual, but since it was shown off at TF, some figures may have been missing or non-distinguishable. I highly doubt the Knight Bus to not include Harry.

The current set list/minifigure line up isn't from the toy fair (there weren’t any Harry Potter releases there) it’s based off of (alleged) insider information. I suspect it’s mostly accurate, but considering that the Great Hall was previewed at Toy Fair around this time last year, and the final set was somewhat different from what was shown then, it stands to reason that any information on the set composition we have right now might not apply to the final product. We just have to wait for Lego to make an official announcement to be sure.

You have talked to a retailer that was at the London toy fair and saw some of the HP sets, is that what you are saying?!
