gabrielerava Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Hi Eurobrickers, this is the last instalment of my Rava Town Old Harbour Seaside. It's called Pieve Lorena and it's due to a terrible hurricane that almost brought down entire Rava Town (my Lego town). Luckily no minifigure was injured by the hurricane, so that citiziens decided to build a church dedicated to the Saint Lorena, founder of Rava Town. The little church was built using the materials and the structures survived to the hurricane. So the old lighthouse has become the bell tower and a mast has become a sort of long crux over the church facade. As roof upon the nave was used the keel of an old boat. Some nice details. Nothing better than a marriage to celebrate the new church! Without minifigures.... Next time I will post some photos with the entire old harbour seaside, in the meantime I hope you liked it! See you soon! ; - ) Quote
DeanLearner Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Looks great, what a fantastic idea! I can’t wait to see your layout all together; it’s looked more and more impressive with each installment. Quote

Kristel Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Looks great! Love the bell too, and the quarter tile on the front door is a nice touch - it looks like a seashell. Quote

gotoAndLego Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 First of all, I love it. I have to ask, was the excess number of curves in your collection the inspiration for its design? That’s how it works for me sometimes. Quote

In this case the curved bricks in my collection were inspiring as well. Anyway, at the end of the day, the amount of curved bricks needed was exceeding my collection so that I made some orders to fill the gap (the brown curved bricks for the roof on the nave were all ordered for example)... Glad you like it! Thanks!1 ? Quote
LegoModularFan Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 That’s a great modular, I really like the shaping of the church and the curves! My favorite part should be the boat hull roof, I love its look! I recommend you to tile the water with trans blue tiles, I think it would look better... But anyway, this still remains to be an amazing modular, I can’t wait to see your harbor! Quote
gabrielerava Posted November 10, 2018 Author Posted November 10, 2018 Thanks for your appreciation LegoModularFan! p.s. Event if I do not plan to tile the sea... ? Quote
