Dyen Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 (edited) Hi guys, here is my lego model for Volvo competition - future construction vehicle, fully autonomous. Whole model stands on four high-grip tracks. It has steering for both axles, detailed generator which can move while you riding. At the back there is an antenna that senses the signal from the communication device. It has gearbox with L motor for three functions: - raising the boom - extending boom - rotating superstructure(through 360 degrees) You can also choose between hook or manually operating grabber. Enjoy, future is here!https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/a729fbcf-03f3-439b-9140-9b9ba4f34910/application/d6c62e07-f681-4ef4-84d4-e245364fe069 Video showing all the features: More photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/142407982@N08/albums/72157699190425832 Edited October 15, 2018 by Dyen Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 This looks awesome! I like the idea of interchangeable attachments. Quote
Magical Duck Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 So cool... this has to win. Not only does it look good, it's functions all work flawlessly. I also like the idea of a 42069-ish undercarriage Quote
shadow_elenter Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I love it! Great functions, futuristic look and those colors... Could you share some photo's of the mechanics and tell a little bit about it? Quote
Jurss Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Good job, but that big hook looks strange. Quote
Aleh Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Nice futuristic model! Really like it! And yes - colors rocks! Quote

shadow_elenter Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Well, I'm always interested in the mechanical struggles of builders, and how they overcame them. Given the amount of functions I'd love to see how densely you packed the mechanics in there. Quote
AFOLegofan66 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Very interesting MOC...lots of functions great! Quote
