In this video I show how to make non-friction parts while they are causing friction at origin.

Never thought of such MOD, but I think it would definetly come handy sometimes. Maybe even TLG produces these types of pins someday. Thx for sharing.

Do you have any particular project coming to make use of this elements?

Example.

Let's say you want to make a gear reducer. With the 18651, you can put two gears in a very simple way, one over the other.

Now i'm no purist..  ...and in the 80's before axles with end-stops existed, and before odd length axles existed (!! its true, its how it used to be...), i have on occasion super-glued bushes onto axles to stop wheels flying off, and chopped down to odd lengths... and even now, i don't might a bit of forcing and twisting to get things in place, plus i love a 3rd party wheel..... but i've never really felt so restricted by the modern technic pieces that cutting or trimming has been needed? Think of a world with no end stops or odd length axles and i'm sure even the purists amongst you would consider the odd modification(!!), but the friction thing hasn't ever been an issue - there's always a work-around that doesn't need the friction blobs carving away?

I am not a collector. I really like Lego, but for me, it's still plastic parts, ABS.
For me, Lego is not an end but a means. A way to express my creations very effectively.

I forgot a piece that can also be changed, the 87082. It looks interesting.

I am not a collector and Lego is of course plastic too but the part I like is just build with a rules that make me think and get through the problems of the pieces without modifying them but I understand that modificate parts can help to build more things without those limits that I like. I have modified two pieces until now, a 12 axle to make it a 11 axle and a 3 axle with stud to make it a 3 axle with stop, it is something that my purist side can suppoert, one thing is to be purist and another throw money away.

Well, I  don't see how modification of parts to suit your needs is throwing money away... I used to think modding of parts was heretic, but now not anymore. I do try to do it as little as possible but sometimes it is just necessary - and I don't hide it either.

I mean that I prefer cut a 12 axle to have a 11 axle than to pay its current price and the same with the 3 axle with stop, I can modificate a piece to have another than I don´t have but it exists. My english is less bad than before but stil have to improve.

That is a very clever way to reduce friction! Such modification is extending the frictionless pin selection already available.

Thanks for posting the video. I look forward to each of your insights oh how to better use LEGO.
