The idea is great, but the details, meh It can definitely be done better.

But, and especially the famous pic of the lone Chinese protestor, the idea is very original indeed. *sweet*

Yeah, I saw this in the paper yesterday.

Its a good idea and you can tell what pictures they meant to be, so I suppose the builder achieved wha he set out to do.

Interesting. The idea that is, the implementation could be better.

That said though, the article does imply that this guy isn't an AFOL, merely an 'amateur photographer.' So I suppose we couldn't realistically expect a true work of art. And I guess it's always nice to see Lego in the mainstream.

He's a photographer and he is doing it well. I like how he takes pictures.

Nice ideas, I'd like to see more of him. And I like those little, cool tanks!

these are nice ideas and I always like to see Lego in the media, shows what us guys get up to! :-D

However i definatly think the tanks could have been made a little bigger than the protester, I mean if the tanks were really that size i think there would be afew more people getting out infront of them X-D

Hmm, I think I've seen it done much better before. It's a nice idea just not done very well, Tiananmen isn't great in my opnion. Maybe we'll see something better soon.

Not crap, but could be done much better. I mean even the protester has the suitcase in the wrong hand, thats just basic observation.

Crap? Sorry, but no, the compositions are very nicely done. He's not going for technical excellence in LEGO, he's just recreating classic images. I find it odd that anyone would regard these as "crap", it's art.

Exactly. I don't think they were intended to be incredibly accurate and there will always be someone who can add more detail! If you just don't like them then fair enough I suppose but if they were mine i'd feel a little insulted.

Got to have a look at the other stuff now.
