I actually don't mind the outriggers at all.  They may be a little large, but as mentioned by the OP, they likely need to be for such a large model. 

We have a lot of the large, wheeled telescopic crane MOCs, but there is not such a strong history of rough terrain cranes, especially very large ones, so I also think this is somewhat untapped territory, and this needs to be considered when judging this build. 

Do keep at it, personally, I think it is coming along quite nicely.

In those two aspects I agree, but honestly such big mocs are (to)big responsibility for me, even my Fastrac that I'm currently working on is upper limit for me. So from time to time it is interesting to see something like this and really  think that @suffocation is something like icebreaker

Yup, I agree as well.  In the past, I have built and mainly focused on large, 5,000 plus piece MOCs, but they are incredibly time-consuming and a huge responsibility.  I can also appreciate smaller builds and have been appreciating the smaller builds more as of late.

That is not to say that large builds certainly don't have a huge place in my heart. Like it or not, large builds are just very cool IMO and I think there is always a large consenting voice on this.  Large builds usually get quite a bit of attention.

The reason that I have ended a bit bigger scale (1:15) than my usual (1:17.5) are tractor tires in just one size, but smaller mics are IMHO more challenging when optimizing and incorporating as much as possible functions.

Had some time to work on the superstructure this week-end. Mechanically I think everything's okay at long last. Now comes the part I dread - all the bells and whistles.

Anyway, here's a picture with such amazing perspective it looks as if the crane either ran into a wall or got manhandled by Brrrrrrock... Llllesnarrrr! (You can still tell, though, that I've shamelessy copied 42082's cabin. I'm a horrible person):

It looks big indeed, but u have one question my friend; shouldn't engine be placed at rear?

As I noticed green engine goes very well with yellow boom and black chassis.

Ideally yes, but then it would be hardly visible. I'm trying to keep this somehow old-school, i.e. more mechanisms well in sight at the expense of realism. Lego did something similar with 42082 - they kept the engine at the back but went with a V8 so the cylinders could still be seen in motion.

I understand, at least your engine layout is more realistic; usually that type of machine uses inline engines...

Since I can't shoot a video of the whole thing on the go - only one phone, so it's either BuWizz or video until I get to the end of the rainbow - here's a cringe-worthy video of the superstructure on my crawler crane carrier. I forgot to test the winch but what the heck.
