WesternOutlaw Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I was surprised to discover that during my visit to Legoland CA, a few days ago, the Lost Kingdom Ride is not an Indy ride, but rather Johny Thunder. In addition, I was expecting something more along the line of the image advertised by Legoland (being an outdoor ride), but the ride was much different than the poster. Instead, the Lost Kingdom was something more like a combination of a Disney kiddie ride and something you'd find in a carnival house. The ride was still nice, esp. for younger children, and allowed one to shoot at the various targets along the way. A score in the vehicle displayed as you make several hits (or misses in my case). Here is the link to the .mpg (Warning! this file is 167.7 K, so it takes a while to download). Lost Kingdom Ride Now sit back and enjoy the ride. Quote
MAH4546 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Looks like a cute ride. Thanks for the video. As for the Indy theming (or lack of it), Walt Disney has exclusive theme park rights to Indiana Jones (and Star Wars). Quote
Asuka Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 A nice ride with a funny Skellie music band and a neat treasure chamber, thanks for the funny video. :-) Quote
SirNadroj Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Thanks for the video! Looks like a good time. Very interactive. Do you know what company made the attraction? Sally Dark Ride Co. maybe? Or did TLG do it all by themselves? :-$ Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 It's a nice little ride I hope I can go on it one day when I'm next over that side of the USA. SirNadroj isn't TCL themeparks now part owned by a themepark company? Though I'd guess TCL had help most of it appear to be standard stock ride items with theming on top. Quote
