Builder 05 Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) Hello everyone ! This is my new MOC - one-masted english sloop. It can carry 8 cannons and 4 swivel guns. This time I used different bow technique, it doesn't look as good as the first one but I think it's quite OK. Let me know what you think! Edited September 2, 2018 by Builder 05 Quote
Roadmonkeytj Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 You really have a considerable amount of detail in this the rudder and the rigging ... The deck clutter as well ... The anchor is my favorite. I think you could build some amazing show stoppers if you work on your hull curves. Quote

Capn Frank Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I didn’t see this MOC earlier. This MOC is impressive considering the lack of actual pirate elements used. Nice work on the masts, cannons, swivels, and anchor. I recommend making the center of ship wider, so the entire length of the vessel isn’t the same width. I look forward to future builds. Quote

The hull - let's be honest - is kind of a mess. The rigging and masts, however, are strong (better than what I am doing, definitely). The use of the snotted railings as the base for the shrouds, in particular, is just a stroke of genius. Edited October 9, 2018 by ProvenceTristram Quote
iammac Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Interesting choice using the bushings... reminds me of an aluminum construction. What are the jibs made of then? MAC Quote
