Ever wanted to build one, but, didn't know where to start. Me too!! So, to make it easier for me to do, I decided to try my hand doing one in MLCAD first!

This is what I have so far.

It is a WIP, so be gentle!!

I would also like to say thanks to Lowlead and Davee123, on FBTB. And Brickplumber on Flickr, for their consent and inspiration. I have spoke to them all and they are all waiting to see what I come up with!

I'm working off all 3 of theirs to make one. Plus adding alot of my own details.

Also, I am doing it in sections. Feet, ankles, lower legs, ect. This will make it easier to order pieces for it and build it.

Once I have it all done, I will make it all avalible for free on Brickshelf. I hope someone will use them to make one of their own!

Right now, I am at about 3200 pieces and not done yet. I still have to do the head and body panels! So, it should be about 4000 when I am done!

Wooow *wub*! It looks fingerlicking gooood!

That´s a real project! How long have you been doing it? How tall do you think it will be in the end?

Great work, I´ll be watching your progress *y* *y*!

Once I have it all done, I will make it all avalible for free on Brickshelf.
That´s nice - I´ll take two for free please X-D!

Wow, thats huge! Do I see doorways inside there? That'd be cool if it had an interior!

Nice job and a great inspiration *y* .

wow! looks good Jamie! I own the minifig scale AT-AT, but I would love to see a proper scaled model on my shelf, but like you said, I never had the courage to start it up.... When it's finished I love to download your instructions. Untill that time, keep us informed on your AT-AT.

Good luck DutchRebel

WOW X-O ! This is already looking awesome jamie, i can't wait to see it finished. The body looks about 20 bricks high so plenty of room for troops and stuff >:-)

Copmike: How tall? Umm.....really tall!! Not sure, honestly.

Feel free to downlaod as many as you want!!

Asuka: Thanks!!

Dunamis: Thanks, I have the Front Side Panels(both sides) and the Head to do yet. Plus, I need to add them to the model!

Faramir: Yes and no! It has an interior to a point! I am not doing an engine for it in CAD. I will do one when I built in real bricks. This way, when someone downloads it and builds one themselves, they can build the engine the way they want! But, I did add seats, a computer, gunracks, and lights.

JimButcher: Thanks!!

Palin Jax: Yes, I plan on it, but, I am not doing it CAD. I will add them when I do it real bricks.

DutchRebel: I probably will not do step by step instructions, but, will make all CAD files avalible for downlaod via Brickshelf!

Natman4000: You can! www.ldraw.org Have fun!!

mutley777: Thanks!! Yes, there will be plenty of room for an engine, Speeder Bikes Racks, and troops!!

Wow!!!! It is HUGE. Have you thought in attaching a saddle???

I am dealing with a minifig-real scale AT-AT.

Is it yours scaled for minifigs??

Have a pic from my "yorkshire terrier-size" AT-AT

Thanks and greetings.

Looks great

I am going to build a UCS ATAT soon, I hope. I would like to make it like the UCS MF, Minifigs size, and put the 40 Snow-troopers, 2 drivers an General Veers in the cockpit.

Is your version minifig-size?

Will you make a part-list to download?

Keep up the good work.

Sigpro: A saddle is a good idea. But, no! I am doing it all in CAD right now. I don't know if the legs and hips can support the weight of it yet. I may have to attach them in a different way.

Yes, it is Minifig scale!

Good start in yours! Love to see it when it is finished!

morten_sonne: Yes, it is Minifig scale, sorta! Maybe alittle bigger or smaller. But, it is close.

And yes, the parts lists will be avalible for the sections when you download the files. If you haven't downloaded Ldraw, go to www.ldraw.org and check it out. It is the program I am using to "build" this. Plus, you will need it to view the files when I upload them to Brickshelf.

Anyways, as I said before, the files for the sections, I am "building" will be on Brickshelf in a few weeks. I need finish a couple more sections, Mainly the head. But, I also have to "fine tune" it.

Thanks, Jamie

Well, my AT-AT should be about 50 cms -a bit less- in overall height.

It has been scaled for minifigs, but the real pattern to scale it has been the head, with the main clause to have two drivers and General Veers. From it, the whole AT-AT is build.

Here you are, some pics of the cockpit.

Of course, this will be re-re-re-re-restyled, but it is a good begining.

Thanks and greetings.

sigpro, As I said before, good start, but, you still have alot to do!! Keep it coming!!

goggleson, I should be able to I don't see why not. Part of the reason I am building it sections is so I can order all the pieces for the feet. Build them. A week or 2 later order the ankles and maybe the lower legs!

On a side note. Please do something about the pic in your sig! A half naked guy holding a Lego set is really scary!! My wife saw that and thought I was looking porn. Thanks!

darkrebellion, Thanks! I have to finish it in CAD first. But, I will be working on it in real bricks soon enough!

Also, more stills added to the gallery! Check them out.

Sorry! :'-( better now? The man was our admin 'Sinner'

But if you were offended at that, make sure you stay away from any posts from the user KimT while your wife is in the room.(don't click that link!)

On a sidenote. I can't wait to see your AT-AT for real!

No offense taken! I thought it was funny, in a wierd and unhealthy way. My wife thinks your looney, but, thats just her!

Ha! My wife thinks I'm looney... And I don't even have any half naked guys on my sig *wacko* Na, just kinding... btw, I love your Avatar jamie 75... If those are yours, you truly have been blessed, and not just in mad customizers skillz. Not trying be nosy, but could you maybe post an estimated price once your done. I would love to whip that thing out, but I kinda would like to know how much dough I gotta blow.. Ya know!

Palin Jax, Yes, they are my twins!! The one in my hand (left) is Megan, the one in wives hand (right) is Brianna. I fought for Luke and Leia, but, my wife said no! Anyways, don't listen to my wife!

Anyways, I would guess about $500, but, that is just a guess! When I get to building it, I will post a total cost.

More to come. I have the head left to do! I plan on starting that later tonight after the kids are in bed! I have the side panels done!

Mr. Mandalorian, their is an interior, as far as seats go. As for a Speeder Bike rack or an engine, if that is what your are talking about. Yes, both of those will be added later. I am not sure how I am going to do either, yet. If I don't do them in CAD, they will both be added to mine when I get to really building it.

Well, I have all sections done!

They can all be seen in my Brickshelf gallery, when modded. I have also uploaded all the .ldr files (LDraw). There are 27 different sections!

01) Feet

02) Foot with Hinged Toes

03) Foot Hanger

04)Ankle

05) Lower Leg

06) Left Upper Leg

07) Right Upper Leg

08) Left Hip

09) Right Hip

10) Drive Motors

11) Frame and Body

12) Left Back Side Panel

13) Left Center Side Panel

14) Left Front Side Panel

15) Right Back Side Panel

16) Right Center Side Panel

17) Right Front Side panel

18) Top Back

19) Back Front

20) Neck

21) Head

22) Head Front

23) Head Top

24) Head Left Gun

25) Head Rigth Gun

26) Leg Strut

27) Side Blast Doors

Right now I am working on putting a complete parts list up and a completed CAD rendering. These should be up in about a week.

You can start building it right now with what is up. But, you will need additional pieces to connect the drive motors and legs to the motors. The body, side panels and head. shouldn't need any more pieces.

Anyone have any solid ideas how to attach the head to the body? I have a couple of click hinges there, but, that will not be enough.

Jamie
