Nevermore Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Hello everybody, without further ado, here's my first digital MOC - M-Tron's very own freight carrier. I don't have a name for it yet, but I tried to make it visually fit in with the M-Tron vehicles. The purpose of this small VTOL-Vehicle is to carry stuff from A to B, and for that purpose, it can carry two standard M-Tron containers. I didn't add a magnet for the small boxes, because almost every M-Tron vehicle can carry them. So, here we see it parked somewhere: Here's the rear view, where the landing gear can be seen. Now, time for take-off! As you can see, the landing gear folds up to turn into stabilizing wings. A view from below reveals nothing new, but it looked nice. :) Please let me know what you think. There's a lot more ideas waiting where that came from. Quote
Asuka Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 This ship really looks very nice. *y* The swiveling engines´re pretty distinct, and the landing gear/wing feature works very well too. A smart work indeed! Quote
Pencoin Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 very cool but i think you could incorperated some magnets in there on a side note what program did you use? Quote
Lasse D Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 It has magnets to hold the crate: *y* M-Tron is superior because of those magnets. Berndasbroot taught us that *pirate* I like the small detailing beneath the cockpit to break the red. It gives a nice and balanced appearance. It is a good idea for a landing gear as well. Quote
Nevermore Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Yay, comments =D thanks for all the compliments guys (and girls?)! The detailing below the cockpit has a practical use as well; when landed, the cockpit is pretty high up. A set of two handles on either side helps the pilot climb back up. And the two small cannons can fend off a rogue rock or a small space animal, but I wouldn't try them against a Blacktron ship D: I used MLCad to make it, wish I had the parts ;_; M-Tron is such an awesome theme, right up there with Ice Planet. Space-faring heroes of my childhood, UNITE! Quote
BerndDasBrot Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 a really nice MOC! *y* for the missing parts - here you go! (use peeron to find out how the part is called, you might already know, they've got inventories to nearly all sets, including M:Tron.) Quote
Nevermore Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Heh, thanks, but what I tried to say is that I don't have the parts to physically build it, so I have to fall back on MLCad. Sucks being poor ;_; Quote
