Dyen Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Hi guys, here is my first alternate model of 42080 which is forklift, here is link where I demonstrate functions of this model. Hope you like it :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxiIm5jALAI&feature=youtu.be Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 I like the rear. The curved panels and macaroni parts go brilliantly together. Quote
1gor Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 From available parts it is good work, but I have a feeling that it is a bit to big for 56 tires ? Quote
BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 (edited) It's a nice attempt, but honestly, I'm not so sure that a forklift was a great candidate to be a C model of this set. It certainly functions well however the bodywork and proportions kinda suck. Great work though. This shows a lot of creativity, just like your other awesome C models! EDIT: one thing that really surprised me is that you didn't use 2 big cylinders for the lift. The range could have been doubled, and it is possible given the pieces (I did this with 42043 here) especially because it seems like you used few green beams. To raise the pallet, you could have used some string or something (I don't know if you consider using non-included string cheating. I don't.) Edited August 19, 2018 by BrickbyBrickTechnic Quote

Looks a bit like a JCB Teletruk or an Ausa Tauralift to me. Considering the parts in 42080, I think @Dyen has done a superb job here. Quote

Magical Duck Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Looks pretty good- creative use of parts! However, I think that the cab is just a little too long- or the angle of the front windscreen is too shallow. Otherwise, nice job! Quote
Dyen Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 Thanks to all for the reaction. I tried to use two big cylinders for the lift, but I did not find any functional option with regard to the available parts. Using string is not cheating for me :) Even in the 42078 C model I used it.@Maaboo35 Thanks! I will try to improve the model, but I have ideas for two other alternative models. I'll add them here when they are finished. Quote
Andy D Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Amazing C model. I like both the looks and the functions. Andy D Quote
