I used to use Photoshop but I have since discovered the joys of Illustrator. It's far superior for torso design although Photoshop still does a good job.

Unless I am ignorant of something like this, perhaps we should have on record the dimensions of torsos and such, much as we do Pirates' Sails.

I also think that Illustrator would be far better for torso designs.

For the dimensions, just scan a torso and you will have them, be sure that when you print you don't scale.

This is a good idea. We should have an index of templates. Most of the templates I use are other peoples, though. I'm not sure about re-posting them here.

Thanks, I'm not exactly sure how you do it with the sails (I've only once ever posted in the pirates forum, and that was to input sail dimensions.) but maybe you could ask people for input for torso, arm, and other Lego appendage parts. Perhaps a pinned topic in Minifig Customization? :-P

Or maybe now I'm just pushing my luck...

I don't know about Mac versions of these programs, but I used to use Photoshop, later I started using CorelDraw (that's the program I use now).
