cyberdyne systems Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 (edited) Well, I think it's time for me to release my version of RTC too! This all seems like some spontaneous Crane Contest. Main differences from 42082: Claas tires, Full RC, absence of mudguards, horizontally positioned boom and finally real yellow color. Stickers are taken from some old town sets. AWD and four wheels steering. Crane has two independent RC structures: chassis and crane (so, there are two battery blocks) Driving 2XL Rotation XL Steering M Boom tilting L Outriggers 2L Boom extension Train motor Hook M Detailed interior and manually operated cabin Two-staged outriggers. Enough robust to look good if you dont try to lift anything. Two variants of boom extension. It can barely lift just it's own hook. But from another side hook is really heavy. I hope this is not the last RTC this week :). Here is the video. Edited August 29, 2018 by cyberdyne systems Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Tough looking and nicely detailed crane! I like it! Quote
suffocation Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Looks great - really love the yellow-DBG livery, and you've managed to give some nice flowing lines to the model. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Woah! This looks better than 42082! The boom/jib design is top-notch, and the all-too-common yellow actually looks quite fresh here. Quote
BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Interesting! I'd like to see more of your 2-stage outrigger design so I can see if it gives me an idea for my crane Quote
1gor Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Very good build. It looks better in yellow IMHO and outriggers are working as they do in real World (if we ignore hydraulics). As you mentioned it is like rough terrain cranes content with rough terrain cranes mocs piping out every few days. Quote
cyberdyne systems Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 Well, has finally finished the video! Quote
1gor Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I see crane boom and stabilizers bending but the rest is impressive Quote

1gor Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Honestly I have never paid attention to bending...perhaps is the reason that in ex-yugoslavia nothing worked so there was nothing to see...? Quote
Aleh Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 (edited) Wow! Did not see it before! Respect for the luffing jib! Also cab interior rulez!! Edited September 1, 2018 by Aleh Quote

Sorry, I just picked up last post to comment on bending. Didn't want to contradict your statement. Quote

I didn't register any contradiction, I just felt that we might be talking about different things and wanted to clarify my comment. Sorry for off topic. Also, to add to the subject of bending and constructions; Bending isn't dangerous as long as it is predicted and is kept within the specificatons of what the material in the construction can handle.
