These are pretty cool! Interesting color versions...

I *wub* that red protocol droid

How did you make the Carbonite Han? I would like to know *sweet* !

What did you use to change the colors on these pieces?

Very nice works for sure.... although the most useful one for me´s still that beautiful frozen Han Solo.... :'-)

The red C-3PO looks also pretty cool.... almost like some kind of special fetish latex version.... :-P

Hi guys.

Red C-3PO is called R-3PO and is in Empire Strikes back (Hoth)

Here is a picture of it

R_3po.jpg

You see the Droid for less than 2 seconds in the film

his head was not coloured it's a recast.

Han in Carbonate was (I thought) going to be really easy (It wasn't)

1. Take a door frame an lay it down on a flat surface

2. using a quick drying plastic solution and fill it half way

3. When dry pour more solution into the frame

4. place a full black minifig into the solution

5. wait for the solution to dry and varnish

All sound really easy? This was the 3rd attempt (I now have it licked)

White Vader was my 1st experiment (Recast vader helmet in white)

Thanks for the comments.

A WARNING FOR RECASTING

There is a product called "Remeltable Rubber" - This is a really cheap and easy method for making casts

Whatever you do do not use painted parts in your cast

I lost a Jango Fett helmet (All the paint is gone!)

It also strips some colour out of the bricks.

Lessons learnt the hard way

Nice works, 1devils1 *y* . Welcome to EB, btw.

I remeber that red protocol droid!

But, why did you wash Vader in hot water 8-| ? The label on the helmet clearly says he is to be hand washed in cold water X-D ;-)

Some nice work here! I just might try that Han in carbonite myself. Would that process work in dark bley?

That droid, in SW lore, has a tattoo on it's butt saying "Thank the Maker." Just a useless bit of funny trivia. :-D

As for Vader being washed in hot water, the worst part was that "some shrinkage might occur", explaining his uncontrollable anger. ;-)

The process will work in any colour. you just need to get the mixture correct.

Matching lego colours is really hard and you sometimes you have to settle for close enough
