kancs3118 Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Hi all; I am planning to incorporate the IR remote control modifications into the LEGO Technic 8265. The nearest step by step instructions (book #5) is written by this dude (Sarafiel (Minshik Kong)). Before traversing this path, I would like to ask fellow forumers here... (1): anyone has gone down this rabbit hole? Follow his step-by-step instructions (book #5) and turn 8265 into remote controlled front loader? (2): what is the results like? any complains? (3): where to get the pdf file? unable to find it. (4): another other improvements on the step-by-step instructions? It last appeared in the web back in 2010/2011. It has been close to a decade and just curious if there is any better versions out there in the wild. (5): what are the part numbers for the additional motors/ Linear Actuator that is recommended by Sarafiel. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4217488 http://www.technicbricks.com/2010/01/building-instructions-for-8265.html Quote
agrof Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Hi, 1. I built this once, but I changed couple of things for my liking during the build. 2. My main complaint were the wider rear axles, and that the XL motor (vertically placed) was not braced properly enough. 3. I have also only the jpgs, one can connect them into a pdf with minor effort if needed. 4-5. No idea, sorry. I go for holiday now! Quote
