Hi guys,

I was never pleased with the official mini U-wing, and after searching around for awhile, stumbled upon @sparkart's Midi Scale U-wing on Flickr as well as @hachiroku's version. Melding elements of both, I came up with this in between version of it! The rear section was tricky, and not the most sturdy, but fine for display and light swooshing. ;)

Enjoy!

Hey @YodaSkate

I had a crack at the U-Wing using my own pieces only - wanted to try without ordering any new pieces. I've had to substitute quite a few pieces as a result. The substitution bit was a bit of a struggle and some bits look messy as a result but I stuck to your instructions as best as I could. Excuse the yellowed pieces and poor pictures! I've added the four pictures to the album.

(P.S. I can confirm 4 astromech droids were harmed in the making of this model)

Well, it gives also an extra detail level with the printed parts :wink:.

@YodaSkate Nice small model!

It looks good! I like some of the pieces you substituted as well, especially the cheese slope!

This is one of the best U-wings I’ve seen absolutely amazing. Are you thinking of doing a whole series?

I def like staying in this scale! I don't have much space in my apartment, so it's just more practical!
