louisk Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 First topic. Mostly a lurker. Its not new, or shiny, but it brings back fond memories for me. From the Ideas Book 8888. Something to keep me busy while I wait for parts for other projects. Mostly original, a few slightly yellowed, a few are new. Just for fun, I included a comparison with a 42009. Technic has come a long way since 1980. Quote
Frequenzberater Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 This is great! I always love to see old technic stuff. Quote
ludov Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 That is surprisingly functional! Good old technic... Quote
Jzawesak Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 It´s funny how tiny this thing is. btw. the blue crane is 42042. Quote
Boulderer Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 I always enjoy seeing builds from the studded era. Really appreciate what could be done with such a limited palette of Technic pieces. Quote
RohanBeckett Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 (edited) You know.. this would be a great future competition: Build something that would fit in with the 8888/8889/8890/8891 Ideas books So.. Studded.. and no parts newer than 1991 :) Oh.. and great build louisk - but you lose 5 points for using a modern white silicon band! Edited July 24, 2018 by RohanBeckett typo :P Quote

GroundskeeperWillie Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 Yeah, remember that thing. Was a fun build, even though I missed the right coloured parts and had to do a rainbow build. Worked well :-) Quote
