Orange Dot Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Hi all, I know this subject has been discussed before but I'm looking for some guidance amongst all the conflicting advice. I want to import decals to LDD for some custom models - I don't want custom decals only ones that you can buy the pieces for. I mainly want the parts that have computer / console / buttons decals. I've tried the guide on the LIF method but it doesn't seem to work. I'm on windows 8, 64 bit. Thank you. Quote
JopieK Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Not a direct answer to your question (I would actually also be happy to know how to do that in LDD ;)) but I use Photoshop to do this with rendered (I use Bluerenderer) LXF scenes. Quote
Calabar Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 In LDD you can't add any brick or decal without "hacking" the software and then violating the EULA. As you can read in the Section Rules, this topic is not allowed here. Anyway, if you meant to render your work, you can add custom decals during this phase as some rendering software allow this (almost sure about Pow-Ray, maybe Bluerender too). Quote
danbush Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 If you apply a decal to a brick in LDD, you CAN replace it with a custom decal in POVRAY. Quote
