Deep in the jungles of Celestia two native scouts spied out from the top of a ridge. Many foreign travallers had entered the jungle a few moons ago, and although some had left many still remain. Indeed, down at the bottom of the ridge they could see two foreigners, insolently trespassing on the natives domain. The scouts decided to bring reinforcements so that the strangers would have to pay for their transgression.

"Herrrhem" the sound of somebody clearing their throat suddenly interrupted the scouts. They turned around and found that they had been surrounded.

Lawliet thought of what luck they had to run in to some natives so close to the camp. Well, not just luck: Ohtli had definitely help find the tracks.

"Tell them to drop their weapons!" he told the Myzac interperator.

Ohtli made some incomprihensible sounds, and the two natives looked chocked to see somebody so close resembeling them. They probably had not noticed him at first. One of them said something in response, which gave Ohtli a curious look on his face.

"What did he say?" Lawliet asked.

"He wondered why I'm with you, since I seem to be one of them."

"Tell them that the only way they'll live is if they drop their weapons and answer our questions!"

This time the natives complied.

"Ask if they've seen any other strangers looking like us, recently!" Lawliet continued after they had surrendered the spear and bow.

"They say that they captured seven men like you, a few months ago, that are still kept prisoner."

Suddenly, one of the natives gave a sinister smile, and laughed, saying something in a distinctly mocking tone, that even Lawliet could pick up.

"He ahm, he says that the prisoners will be sacrificed to the gods at the coming full moon. To bring fortune in the coming war."

"Bring them back to the camp! We need to figure out everything they know, and leave as soon as possible. They will show us the way to their village." Lawliet ordered.

As the men left, the jungle returned to its peace and quiet. Except, of course, for the two travellers at the bottom of the ridge. They continued completely unaware of the danger that had just been averted.

This is the continuation of the Celestia rescue expedition. Jungles are not my strong suit, mostly because I lack parts, and this time most of my brown bricks went to building the ridge itself. However, I think this build is mostly for the story. Hopefully I can finish the story line with something a bit more impressive in the next build.

Thanks to @Bregir for letting me use Montoya and Baker to spice things up! Considering how many figs are currently gallivanting around Celestia I thought it would be fun to have some (non)interactions between them.

Aha! Montoya and Baker has (almost) been spotted once more! (and Montoya seems to have gotten his hair in order! ;))

I like the ridge and the vantage point. The background up top is a little bland, though, but the use of green baseplates is a good compromise. If you had some leaves or similar, you could perhaps have given the illusion of deeper jungle behind.

Young Lawliett appears to be a harsh man! I wish him the best of luck in his endeavours on the island.

Interesting continuation of the story of Montoya

I guess not being captured counts as continuation, so thanks!

Great build Flavius! The terrain is pretty nice and I like that the log is kind of separated. It adds some great detail to the whole scene.

Thank you! I work with what I've got.

I'm not sure that hairpiece is particularly orderly, but it's the best I've got. Sadly I have no LotR/Hobbit sets, I just bought the torsos from Bricklink.

Yeah, I had an idea for what it would look like, but when I started building I quickly ran out of parts. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed, but the story had to go on.

Well, just because he says he'll have them shot, doesn't mean it's true
