WesternOutlaw Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 What a creative idea. Sort of a steam punk/castle MOC, with a Penguin/Baron at the helm. I love the details, esp the wheel pieces in the back. What set is the hull from? Is that custom paint, or from one of the police boats? Quote

WhiteFang Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 No, it's from some real old police set. )Thanks for your comments! ) Great set, haha, never knew Dwarves can go into Sea machinaries, haha!! *sweet* Just curious if u used this set for the Dwarves, because i feel it resemble much to this set of mine :-$ Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Very nice! I like your steampunk style of building castle mocs. *y* Quote
Mr. Builder Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Great job. I like the castle-ey feel of it. It would be cool to see a dock put in front of the mine and that ship there. *sweet* Quote
The Penguin Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Thank you for your comments! ) :-) The base for the boat was taken from this set: http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=4021-1 Any other comments, gentlemen? ) *sweet* Edited March 22, 2008 by The Penguin Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Thanks for telling me which police boat u used. Really missed those classic police boats, haha! Nevertheless, u really did a great job. I was thinking my dwarf kingdom will required some mechanical engineering too, :-$ Quote
Batbrick Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Fantastic work The Penguin, I especially love the wheel at the back, simply brilliant. I love these Dwarve mocs, and I love all the brown medieval details you've mixed in ,very clever. And good use of those Indy boxes as a pipe too, the whole boat looks fantastic! To the Batbrick Cave! >:-) Quote
Tacitus Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Cool! This reminds me of something you would see in that old SNES version of Final Fantasy III, which add a lot of streampunk elements to the fantasy world. Quote
Asuka Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 That´s a very creative work indeed, a clever use of that hull and a very nice paddle wheel. Well done! *y* Hmm.... now all you need´s a dwarf magnate called Onassis.... X-D Quote
iamded Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Looks neat! Though I woulda thought, having spent so much time underground, the Dwarfs would dislike the open ocean. Still, it's a neat MOC, with a great use of those wheels and new crates. *y* ~Peace Quote
The Penguin Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 Thank you all ladies and gentlemen! ) I hope that you will also like my MOC-s that are to come! *sweet* Any other comments, suggestions? ) Quote
Dragonator Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 That is really cool! I love the whole look of it; Dwarfs and steampunk boat. X-D The wheel at the back is very creative too. Is there a storage area in the hull for the oil, it looks like there is an opening for one?... Nice work, can't wait to see what's next! *y* Quote

Faramir Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Nice job! Very dwarfish, but also sleek. Never knew that hull would come in handy for a Castle MOC. --Faramir Quote
