WesternOutlaw Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 (edited) Hop aboard the best little Lego Creator set as 4837 Mini Trains makes it's way from the Toy Store Station to Miniland. Choo Choo! Lego Creator 4837 Mini Trains 73 pieces $4.99 USD Starting with the typical Creator mini box, the green immediatelt catches your eyes: Turning the box over is another shot of this fine little mini-engine: What a great way to spend 5-10 minutes resulting in my favorite mini set: Excellent detail, the front end: And another view: The set contains 4 of the dark green sloped 1x1s: And I was surprised to find both connector pieces, one in the back, and the other used for the steering mechanism inside the cabin. What good would a train be without the ability to add additional cars: Another side view: The smoke stack attaches with a 1x1 hook piece; very clever: I was also surprised to discover that the wheels used allow the train to run on tracks, two-studs apart: Had to break out my tracks from the Dwarves Mine to build some rails: Black antena pieces make a nice addition adding to the detail of the wheel system: As a fan of old-time steam engines, I didn't build the other two alternate models (instructions included): Lastly, I had to pick up an addition set to build some matching rolling stock, although my own MOC isn't too good. The only additional pieces are the alternate black wheel pieces. The small grey wheels look a little bit too small for a good car: Well, our Stean Engine has arrived in Miniland for a thirsty drink of water. I must say that this model is a great little creator set that is a lot of fun building. I couldn't wait to add some track and roll it along, choo'ing all the way. If you've got a few bucks to spare, I would highly recommend purchasing this mini set. I only hope Lego offers a few more cars to add on to it. I would swoop them up in a heart beat. This one gets *y* *y* up! Edited May 23, 2009 by WhiteFang Indexed Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 Thanks fellas. I also love your extra car you made with it, it's awesome! *wub* It's not that good, but thanks. With the piece selection contained in the set, it's hard to build anything that looks good (at least for me). Also, I saw some mini trains that someone built, either on EB or Brickshelf, but I can't seem to find them. If any of you have the link, would you please share. Thanks. Quote
