BerndDasBrot Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 (edited) hi! I proudly present: my M:Tron Space Carriage Voyager I don't know what I've been up to, but for the first time I dismembered all my M:Tron sets and decided to moc'n'roll! I had a veeeery slow start but then finally I got the building-rhythm. Just one more thing: Sorry for the monorail supports. I didn't know how to position it right, so it won't break. Simply ignore them! Anyway: ENJOY! Edited March 20, 2008 by BerndDasBrot Quote
Shadows Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Looks great! *y* I love that the M:Tron colour scheme combined with all of the interesting angles you've used and the long tail makes it look like an angry insect, ready to swarm into attack. Imagine a whole fleet of these descending on your star cruiser from out of nowhere. I really appreciate both the cockpit detail and the way you incorporated it at such an interesting angle, yet it all lines up in such a way that it looks like the pilot could comfortably and effectively fly the ship from there. Sometimes people try to do something interesting and give up logical design for looks, you managed to capture both. M:Tron MOC On! *y* Quote
BerndDasBrot Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 I did? Cool...! well: i just built - it just happend... :-$ Thanks for the feedback! Quote
Deinonychus Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Wow, now we're talking! *wub* This is exactly the sort of thing I really dig, in-theme MOCing using the established colors and, even further, parts from the theme sets. Awesome. Great unconventional ship design too. I wish my brain was able to go in a direction like this whenever I get the bricks out, but I usually end up with something pretty pedestrian. Also, a nifty use of the Mega-Core Magnetizer wheels (one of my all-time favorite LEGO parts). Quote
BerndDasBrot Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 also thanks! more pics: (I've shortend the "tail" to only one wheel.) Quote
Rounin Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I realy like what you have done and the colour scheme works a treat. Quote
DJ Force Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Impressive. MOST Impressive! Very unique and very good! Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 *y* It kind of looks like a Slave I...a bit :-D How do you think it would look with the large panel from the Mega-Core Magnetizer? Nitpicking, but the antennae off at angles don't look very TLC...but was it meant to? ;-) Quote
BerndDasBrot Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 (edited) thanks guys! yop, I had the slave 1 in mind - right after I've build the angle. btw: the pilots name is Fred Fett. :-D X-D I used the large panel from the Mega-Core Magnetizer in my next MOC coming tomorrow...! EDIT: ah- for the antennae / antennas: (Maybe) they are radioactive tracers, shock absorbers or just trappings? I'll never know... :-$ moc'n'roll ON! Edited March 20, 2008 by BerndDasBrot Quote
zero1312 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 M-Tron was my favourite theme back then, and you captured the look perfectly. *wub* Quote
Asuka Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 A very cool work, both versions look pretty good although I prefer the shorter version. A wonderful and original space ship indeed! *y* Quote
