Matn Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 4 Juniors. =L When I was at the LEGO Festival in Brussels in 2004, my sister and I got two Xtreme Island sets, as goodie. What a luck, because the boys who came after us outside got two 4 Juniors sets and they got mad... :'-) Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Guess what I voted for? :-P Shouldn't this include every theme ever created in order to be ... scientific? I agree with Hinckley. That's a first... X-D Quote
AzMean Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 OMG, i didnt even know wat was Galidor before i read this post. That doesnt even look like it came from Lego (only the missles) *wacko* wat was Lego thinking? Quote
Stealth Hunter Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I voted for Galidor! It looked like it had nothing to do with Lego! *n* It has to be the worst theme,it´s even worse than some clone brands. X-D Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 galidor |-/ time twisters are very good theme! I like alpha team too! but galidor is.... just awful, terrible and horrible. Quote
WarnIcarus Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I had never heard of Galidor before this poll. I just checked out the Brickset page. I honestly think that you can't call that LEGO. Time twisters was the worst. Quote
AgentRick Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Other. Because you forgot the single thing that threw off AFOLs: CITY-CENTER Fire station Police boat ;-( Quote
Dadster Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) Add my name to the list that thought Time Cruisers and Alpha Flight were very, very cool Themes. >:-( Edited March 19, 2008 by Dadster Quote
casewindu Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Galidor all the way! not Lego at all! I loved alpha team the helicoptors and everything where great! I also liked Jack stone as it was a lot better than the city sets of the time! >:-( Quote
The Cobra Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Alpha Team- Pointless theme with nothing to offer -> Nah, it was very good IMHO Galidor- need I say more? -> That's like notebooks and that kind of stuff. It's just not Lego. Time Cruisers: Interesting parts but again pointless -> Maybe you could do something with those pieces better than TLC did. Other- Something I missed? (pick this and you get a swirlie) -> Bionicle! But it seems like thay saved TLC from ... (I don't even dare writing that word...) Jackstone- which basically invented the word <insert that tiresome argument> -> That's it. One vote for Jack Stone. Quote
freddy_LC Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Time cruisers! This theme are very strange... freddy_LC friendly :-) Quote
Zarkan Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Worst ever = Galidor, which still stands as the only theme in the history of lego to lack a SINGLE stud (even znap had studs on their technic motors). Besides, it was just hideous, lacking anything remotely resembling lego pieces, and on top of that, it was based on a flopped tv show. Need I say more? :-X Oh, and by the way, for those of you who are considering voting for bionicle, remember, TLC might not be here today without it. Besides, unlike Galidor,, you can actually build tons of things with the pieces. Without it, we wouldn't have amazing MOC's from people like Jinzo and Bigfatslob. *sweet* This topic seriously should be about which theme is the worst, not "which theme I hate the most," because just because you hate a theme doesn't mean that it is bad. ;-) Quote
Faramir Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I had to put Galidor. I mean really, come on! Like a bad mix between Mega Bloks, Transformers, and those horrible 2008 Bionicle Tractors... I didn't have as much a problem with Jack Stone as a lot of other people. Let the 4+ year olds play the way they want without choking on those pretty chrome pieces. --Faramir Quote
Dragonator Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Are you trying to tell me that those Galidor toys were made by Lego! X-O But... how could they... :'-( I didn't know those were Lego toys, they definitely don't look it... Quote
MoonCheese Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I remember a couple of years ago when I was browsing a store and decided to check out the Lego section. I had mostly stopped using Lego about 5 years before. I was really excited when I saw that there were finally new Pirate sets (as Pirates had been my favourite theme as a child)! But when I took them home, I found out they were those 4+ Juniors things. I got the island with the giant skull and found out that the whole skull was one piece! Most of the pieces were huge and putting the set together took almost no time. Then, the pirate figures weren't even proper minifigs! They were these huge one-piece things that are pretty much useless outside 4+ because of the difference in scale. So I voted for 4+ Juniors, although now that I looked at some pictures of Galidor sets, if I had owned a Galidor set I would have voted for that. Galidor is so...non-Legolike, it's mind-boggling. How did Lego honestly expect to sell them? Quote
blueandwhite Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The poll is sort of pointless isn't it? I mean, how many people really regard Galidor as a LEGO sub-theme anyways? The line is despised beyond belief, so making a poll doesn't accomplish much other than restate what everybody already knows. It's like asking somebody whether they would rather have a glass of water or a glass of sewage with their dinner. Galidor may be a LEGO product, but it doesn't take a(nother) poll to acknowledge that this line is beyond unpopular. Quote
JimBee Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Galidor? hmm...sounds familiar...kid...WB channel...could it be? that old show where the guy named nick teleports or something? I remember toys at mcdonalds that have removable heads and legs...cant be lego, could it??? lets check brickset....(checking) NO WAY!! what the megabluck were they thinking...! i remember getting one of those! wow, cant believe it was lego... i voted for unscientific poll because: 1) didnt realize galidor was lego... and 2) need more themes! *wacko* Quote

Perhaps indeed X-D . Lopsided polls are no fun. A poll with ten fairly unpopular minifig-oriented lines would be interesting though. From KKII and Fright Knights to Rock Raiders and Life on Mars; the possibilities are endless :-D . Quote

kill will Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 How can you say that Rock Raiders is unpopular? >:-( Um, sorry, it kind of is unpopular, though it's an excellent theme. I voted for G@l!dor because, well, It sucks! X-O Quote
casewindu Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 why isn't bionicle in there? every new wave of those models its the same six colours with a new mask!! Quote
Zarkan Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) why isn't bionicle in there? every new wave of those models its the same six colours with a new mask!! Just because we have new Toa each year hardly means a theme is the worst. Besides, Bionicle has an incredible amount of variety in it's kits - how can you say that the Barraki are the Piraka with new masks? Even the toa are totally different each year - The toa this year, which are new versions of old characters - look nothing like the Nuva from 2002. |-/ Besides, one could use the same unbased argument to say that starwars is the worst theme - "oh, look, it's just the same ships and characters every year." Of course, this argument doesn't make any since, since starwars also has an incredible amount of variety as well. :-P Come to think of it, I've heard that complaint on these very boards before - "Why does TLC keep remaking the same starwars ships instead of making new ones?" The answer of course, is that the remakes are usually far better than the older versions. Nothing wrong with it then, is there? ;-) Edited April 6, 2008 by Grevious Quote
VBBN Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Galidor. Here is why not the others: 4 Juniors (jack stone) - A duplo theme. Why isn't Duplo or Truplo on their? Alpha Team - Not to bad, just had to ignore it. Time Cruisers/twisters Had some great parts. -Alex Quote
