Worst Theme

Hello EBers, today we have the "Worst Theme" Poll!

Pick the Worst Theme that has ever been created by LEGO!

The choices were all based on my wild assumptions and biased opinions :-P

Seriously, I based them on feedback received from the Lego fan community

We have:

Jackstone- which basically invented the word <insert that tiresome argument> :-X

Alpha Team- Pointless theme with nothing to offer

Galidor- need I say more?

Time Cruisers: Interesting parts but again pointless

Other- Something I missed? (pick this and you get a swirlie) :-P

Unscientific Poll- It's too biased

I want you all to know this is my opinion, it's what I think. I think Technic is the worst theme, I know it sells great and everything, I just can't do anything with them! *sing*

Seriously though, Alpha Team is one of my all-time most favorite themes and I can't imagine it being mentioned in the same breath as those other wastes of brick. I mean Galidor...freaking GALIDOR...that's all I need to say right there >:-)

While I voted for Galidor, I honestly don't even consider it a LEGO theme as it was a far from System sets as any other action figure line.

If the voting was limited solely to System element themes, Time Cruisers/Twisters would have gotten my vote. Frankly, I found the cobbled-together design of all of those sets to be insulting. As MOCs, they would have been good enough, but as official TLC sets, thanks but no thanks.

Actually, I was torn between Galidor and Other: Bionicle. Ughhh... bionicle. ;-)

But Galidor has NO peices that I could possibly use in a MOC ~ at least the other themes had some system parts. :-D

But I don't understand why Alpha Team is even in the poll.

Galidor definitely is the worst theme lego ever created. It´s pointless, full of useless parts, even worst design in the parts and finally I can´t say surely what it is an action figure with a few assambly steps or a lego set >:-( .

I think Alpha Team have useful parts and great minifig torsos and accesories *wacko* .

Well it had to be Galidor didn't it, it's barely even recognisable as Lego.

As for Jack Stone, yes it is ugly and <insert that tiresome argument>, but it was targeted at a post duplo/pre system market so I can forgive Lego for trying this out, at least they took it off the market.

I voted Galidor ( :-X ) because to me it is barely a lego. It doesn't look much like a lego at all!

Alpha Team? I loved that theme. :'-(

I voted 4 juniors. It popularized juniorization much more, AND stole the pirate theme.

Frankly I think galidor is ok. I don't care what other's think of it, I have seen some awesome ways to integrate some of the peices into great bionicle mocs.

I also heavily disagree with Time Cruisers/Twisters being in the ranks of worst theme, along with the Alpha team. I loved both those themes :'-)

You've got to put waaaayyyy more themes in there. Fill up ALL the slots with them! Go! GO! :-P .

I think we would get a better approach to this by doing ^ that and eliminating Galidor from it and going off with the other themes.

It is sooooo obvious that nearly everyone is going to vote for Galidor.

I placed my vote for Galidor, not because of the show or the sets TLC made, but for the fact that this line was not a success for Lego. I wonder if TLC made the line in minifig style, would it had been a more successful theme? I personally think that if the line was minifig style, sales would have been bigger/better. I believe many AFOL would have collected them just for the different minifigs and/or accessories. Too bad TLC didn't think too much about this idea.

It has to be Pirates! Worst theme ever wish they’d never. Ok I jest. Galidor is probably the worst for the simple reason that in all the set I saw there was not ability to build something new, and there was no justification like Jack Stone that it was intended for a younger audience. Even though timetwister looked like the designers were on strike at the time at least you can build something more useful from it.

I voted for Jack Stone because when I saw it in a catalogue first I nearly got sick.

Thankfully it seems the others where out during my dark age and I didn't see them.

I didn't know Galidor and checked what it actually was through a google picture search and on brickset.com. I was really shocked when I saw what it was! It doesn't look like LEGO at all. Those figures are terribly awful! So I had to vote for Galidor! It's definitely been the worst theme so far! *n* :-X

Was Galidor also released in Europe? I cannot remember seeing one of those ugly sets in a shop. Maybe I cannot remember because I didn't recognise them as LEGO sets.
