With Lego air tanks going on average, 34 dollars USD, here is a three-minute tutorial how to create your own.

With virtually no end to the different shapes and sizes of medicine bottles, you can make an air tank fitting more.... or less (bigger or smaller) than the official Lego versions.

Nice solution!  Why not drill before sealing to make sure that there are no plastic chips inside?

Probably would have been a good idea.  Though the plastic mostly curled around the drill bit as I drilled so really I don't think any got into the tank.  Plastic was much more pliable than brittle.

Not so sure why you are paying so much for genuine Lego parts £6.96 on Bricks and Pieces here in the UK (Cheaper than BrickLink)

This is a good alternative to using several Lego air tanks for storing a larger amount of air. I just wish the pumps did not have such low pressure relief valves so more energy could be stored in a smaller volume.
