Juxtapoisson Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 (edited) Does anyone have any hints (or links to reliable info) about molding the lego hands? They cut easily enough with a razor blade, but don't like to bend. I assume there's a number of options, heat, chemical, etc. But I'd rather not reinvent the wheel. MAB Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 What do you want them to do / look like once modified? They are harder to dye (RIT dye method) than regular parts, I think the composition is different to normal parts to make the thin sections strong enough not to break. Quote
Juxtapoisson Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 Simple hand functions. Fists, Hi 5s, maybe a ImI for rock n' roll. Quote
meepinater Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 My suggestion is to cut the two "fingers" off, make one into four sticks and make the other a shorter stick. then, use some sort of clay or something so that you can make the hands look like fists and other stuff. The only thing is, this would be more for stop motion and show and less for play or frequent use. I'm not sure how this works exactly, but it is worth a try. Quote
