Panthro Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Morning all May seem like a stupid question, but is there much of a market for Lego kits which have already been built? I'm moving in the near future and have some kits which can't come with me - amongst others, a 9500 Sith Fury Interceptor with all minifigures - and I'm going to have to get rid of them. So it's either the bin or eBay... Thanks Andrew Quote
MAB Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Yes. Just look for "used" on ebay. Or bricklink, loads of used sets are sold there too. Quote
Panthro Posted April 24, 2018 Author Posted April 24, 2018 Thank you, kind Sir. I never think to look at Bricklink. Quote
Johnny1360 Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 (edited) I took it as he wants to sell used, complete LEGO sets in a built state, not in bagged pieces. Doesn't want to disassemble them in other words. Edited April 26, 2018 by Johnny1360 Quote

antp Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I don't see how that would not sell just because it is already built... except if you glued the parts, it is easy to "unbuild" it. And if you lack time, the one that buys it can do it himself. Worse case, you just sell it for a little cheaper (but I don't even think it would be the case), I don't see how the bin can be an option - seeing the value of Lego that's like throwing money directly to the bin. rodiziorobs Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 One thing to consider: if you are willing to box them up and ship them to a buyer, why not ship them to yourself at your future address? Yes, you end up paying your own shipping, but it can take the hassle out of trying to fit them with your other possessions during a move, and could be cheaper than you expect if you can package them together. That way they are still yours when you arrive at your new home. Of course, Lego you already own is pretty easy to turn into money, so that's still a good option. It just seems too narrow a view to think you have to get rid of it. Good luck! Quote
Johnny1360 Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 @Panthro Surly when you say "bin" you don't mean the garbage bin, there are so many better options. Quote

Not a bad idea, actually, but I won't have as much space for my collection in the new place. 9 hours ago, Johnny1360 said: @Panthro Surly when you say "bin" you don't mean the garbage bin, there are so many better options. Yup. I've already given some stuff away but I suppose I could always pay for storage and save them from the bin. Quote
Johnny1360 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 What a shame, I would drive a hundred miles for some free LEGO. Quote
