spaceman76 Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Here a link to my latest moc. I am currently working on a medieval display and have just completed my 2nd house. Here a link to my flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101871406@N06/albums/72157695640979105 Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 On my... I mean, I love all your Classic Spaceships, but this is just extraordinary! The Pearl Gold, the Reddish Brown, the Sand and Earth Green, and that Black Nexo shield roof... A most superb masterwork! Quote
x105Black Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Love all of the intricate ornamentation. The gold works well with the brown and greens. I really like the roof, don't know why I hadn't thought of that usage for those tiles. I also like the creative entrance area. Overall, it's a fantastic building. I wonder what the inside looks like. Good work! Quote
LegoModularFan Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Ooooh, now that's something! Amazing MOC with a lot of details and wonderful color scheme! The roof is just incredibly well-made! Your style reminds me a mix of @DK_Titan (the roof, the number of floors if you added one more and parts usage) and @Gunman (use of the mudguard pieces, curved slopes, the entrance and the window design on the ground floor). Keep it up! Quote
Littleworlds Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 This looks awesome! My first thought was "Skyrim", since it really looks like one of the upper class houses in Windhelm or Solitude. Lovely colour combinations and ornaments and the proportions are just right too. Really stunning work. Are there interior shots too? Quote

Come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever seen an architectural creation that has ever used those parts for roof tiles before. Maybe I have seen such a creation before and have simply forgotten about it, but have you @LegoModularFan ever come across a creation which has done so before with those parts? Quote

Yes, a MOC by @DK_Titan uses it too in the exact same way. But that's not surprising as they're both members of the same RLUG! 17 hours ago, Digger of Bricks said: And with Nexo shields! zoth33 Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Love this. The woodwork is awesome especially with the use of the gold. The columns are great. The borders around the windows are great. I really like how you used different pieces around the windows like the flower pieces and the wheel wells and slopes. The roof is also very creative using the nexo shields. Quote

Ravelino Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Astonishing building! Lovely color sceme and I like the techniques you used on the scroll bricks with bars, the mid section with the chests and the front and back section with 1x5 brown arches on top.. I'm not so sure about the gold "fillings" on the front and back of those brown sections though..Maybe some more gold details coming down from those gold Friends horns to break the brown up? All in all very impressive piece...I'm looking forward to your next build and ofcourse that medieval display you've been taunting us with Quote

Thanks for the kind words. 20 hours ago, Littleworlds said: This looks awesome! My first thought was "Skyrim", since it really looks like one of the upper class houses in Windhelm or Solitude. Sadly there is no interior installed in this house, other than supportive strucure pillars. Some of the walls are quite fragile on a few studs here and there, so the inside walls keep them in position. However the next house will be planned as a modular and interior house detail. Quote

I understand..had to have something to nag about it just looked too good! Still funny though..you ran out of wood so you filled it with gold Quote
