koalayummies Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 With Heartlake City hosting its first off-road stage rally Ford partnered with Friends to field a somewhat patronizing yet nevertheless eye-catching paint-schemed Fiesta for the notoriously colorful locale. Stacy "Sideways" Brickerson took home first place and celebrated with an obligatory motorsport champagne shower. Quote

LegoModularFan Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Great color scheme on the car, it looks so well with the ground! Gorgeous photos as always! Fun little scene! Quote
koalayummies Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 Thanks fellow builders! Here's another simple color change I also did last night but didn't have time to do the photos. 'Murica. Or France, or England, or Russia, Chevron, Mobil, anyone using red, white and blue really. Quote
brikspo Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Having spent too much of my weekend trying to adapt/improve the same set, I'm especially impressed by how you solved the back of the car on the red/white/blue version. Also loving the rainbow version :) Both of these are really delightful! Quote

Yeah, Earth Blue is one of my favorites but it doesn't work with everything. Also frequently confused with black in less than perfect lighting, so many times I've had to double check. Last changes I promise! I'm done tinkering. Took the chassis apart, ditched the 2x4 technic bricks and the big car plate thing for different 'hub' pieces and regular plates, fixed the suspension rake so its level and extended the chassis by 1 stud from the middle. And now has respectable rally car ground clearance Quote

This definitely looks better than the second version! Quote
brikspo Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Looks really good now - and great solution to the headlights! The first thing I do with any of the models that rely on stickers for lights is figure out how to get some transparent tiles on for lights somehow ... glad to see your solution! Quote
