Darnok Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 (edited) "Golden Jack" had once again proven that his self-proclaimed reputation might have been... too optimistic. His latest attempt at prospecting had found a rock quarry east of Mesabi Landing. But the WTC takes what it can get - and gives nothing back! A grumpy overseer coordinated the mining, while severe lack of workers meant that some WTC Marines had to help out in the mine for the time being: During a break, some WTC Marines have a little discussion: "Sure, water is refreshing, but I prefer me some good rum. And these sausage... eh, clearly not horse meat! And the grease goes all over your hands, horrible!" ===================================================================================================== Licensed as a mine for Mesabi Landing. Some more pictures: Spoiler It seems the WTC has no big luck with its prospecting attempts, but it is what it is! Together with the brick factory it means that building materials are abundant on Argentia though! As always, C&C are appreciated. Edited March 9, 2018 by Drunknok Quote
Bart Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 I like it Drunknok, good representation of a quarry, all the squareness of the legobricks really gives a feeling of rockbricks being pulled out. excellent design on the track end stopper too. Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 Another great build Drunknok! Great job on all the rickety scaffolding and general layout! Quote
Elostirion Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 One of the best MOCs I have seen from you here. Great work, love it! Quote

Getting all those parts tiled did take some creativity, as I lack the parts to do it as I had wanted it. What you see here is a compromise really! 17 minutes ago, Elostirion said: One of the best MOCs I have seen from you here. Great work, love it! Thank you, I appreciate the compliment, but have you seen all of my builds? There are quite a few builds I consider to be better than this one. Quote

The others: Maybe in some aspects, but not in the total appearance of the MOC as a whole, where I think the quarry is definitely better. Just my very personal opinion. .:-) Quote
Mesabi Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Excellent build @Drunknok, all of the little steps are great, and I like how you've connected the build to the railroad. Keep up the great work! Quote
