Am I the only one who thinks Frances McDormand was a little bit out of her mind while giving her speech?

Maybe she was too exited/emotional about her Oscar, but something was off about her

Was she the one who kept saying she was going to faint then kept giving off some maniac laugh during the thing?  My parents were watching and said, "is she, drunk?" Any attempts at political messaging were drowned out by that insane laugh. That laugh haunts me still, probably should be edited into some dank YouTube meme or something.

Uh, I spent most of the awards show watching Coco. Why waste time watching the awards, when I could be watching the movie they awarded instead? Sadly, Coco finished just in time to show that crazy laugh... Dagnabit!

I thought Three Billboards was originally going to win. Then when it did not win a screenplay award I thought Get Out would win. Almost every time, the Best Picture also wins a screenplay award, but nope, Shape Of Water took me by surprise. I watched all 9 of the Best Picture nominations and my personal ranking goes like this.

9. The Post

8. Darkest Hour

7. Dunkirk

6. Phantom Thread

5. Lady Bird

4. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri

3. Shape Of Water

2. Call Me By Your Name

1. Get Out

I was wanting Get Out or Call Me By Your Name to win but am very happy with Shape Of Water winning because I also loved that film. Honestly the top 5 all could have won and I would have been happy. Something else though I did not like the host Jimmy Kimmel, I remember him being ok last year, but this year he was just bad. One joke in particular I hated was one where he was going to share the first ever joke at the first ever Oscars, but instead of telling the original joke he says "Christopher Plummer is tonight's youngest nominee" he already made a Christopher Plummer joke early on but yet made another one that was not in any way funny or original. Not only that but I was actually interested in what the first ever Oscars joke was, I knew Kimmel was not actually going to say it but I was still hoping he would, or at least make a funny joke. I thought the best jokes came from Kumail Nanjiani and Mark Hamill, personal I would love for those two to host next year's Oscars.
